WE moved jan. 07 and decided to rid ourselves of a n old sealy posturpedic. We went to Sams club in Annapolis, Md., on the recomendation of a friend who said they had some nice serta matresses in stock. I had heard and seen possitive reviews on serta , and the $599. 00 price was obviously alluring. We had the mattress for only three mos. before I started noticing a ridge in the pillow top. Now to be fair my husband is a 300 pounder and I am half his weight, however the sealy held up a good 10 years before showing a serious problem. That said by the end of six mos. my husband was crawling uphill to kiss me goodnight. (I like to think I'm worth the effort.) The pillowtop is on only one side so we hesitated to flip the mattress. By xmas 07, IN DESPERATION!!!! I flipped the mattress and put a 4 inch memory foam 0n top. The decending angle of the mattress was startling a good 3 inches was the sag on my side now and yes I now have to cling to the edge to avoid rolling out. I'm miserable and my back aches . WHAT GIVES!!!!!!!!!!! If you need a receipt I think I could produce one or Sams club could . What can the serta company do for us , We are totally frustrated and diallusioned.

Nothing against Sams Club, but they only carry the most basic ( low price/ low end ) Serta mattresses. Sertapedic and Perfect Sleeper. The Perfect Sleeper has a very sturdy innerspring but, at low prices, it's ruined by being covered with crappy foams. Do yourself a favor and buy your next mattress at a furniture store. I wouldn't buy a car at the same store I get my 10lb jar of pickles. And I spend a great deal more time in my mattress than I do in my car.

I sell mattresses. I know that you will hear different reviews of brand quality depending on bias. But so far I have heard, not only the most of, but also the worst kinds, of problems with Serta. I just don't know how they keep truckin. But I guess someone out there has to have one that has lasted as long as it should without becoming a piece of junk. You mostly DO get what you pay for.

We had exactly the same issue, after 9 months the mattress was worst than the one it replaced.

We called Serta, they transfered the call to SAMs and SAMs said, bring the mattress and we will give you another one or the money back.

We bring to the the store (a 13 months old mattress, of course I asked them for a receipt because I lost tje original), and they refund me for the mattress 100%.

So, don't keep it, go ahead and return the crappy thing.

My husband and I are both tall and lean (him - 165 and me - 130) so weight is not the issue. We've had it one month, purchased from Sam's Club as well (after giving up a 10 year old Sealy due to long distance move). The new mattress was great at first, but within weeks it seems mushy and sunk. The most disturbing thing is the heat held in the mattress which wakes both of us simultaneously several times through the night and there is no relief. Living outside of Seattle, the nights are chilly and we don't even have the heat on in our home.
